When I heard Lisa was re-opening Dragonflies and Daisies, it made me wish my boys were little again – just so I could send them. Now 21 and 17, it’s been many years since they enjoyed time in her magical preschool. Despite so much time having passed, my boys still speak fondly of Miss Lisa and their time learning and growing under her guidance. She even sent my oldest a very special handwritten note when he graduated from High School.

I first met Lisa twenty-two years ago. I was a pediatric occupational therapist and had the honor of working with her and her family for a few years. Shortly after, she announced that she would be opening a preschool. As soon as my son was old enough, I enrolled him. I call Miss Lisa the Mary Poppins of preschool teachers. Her genuine curiosity and kindness shine through every lesson. To this day I have not met another teacher who so thoroughly and creatively approached her lesson planning. She truly understands each student and leads with a strengths-based approach to teaching. Her nature walks are still something my kids talk about as it instilled in them a deep love of the outdoors. Lisa’s genuine nature, easy laughter and gentle demeanor have made her one of our family’s favorite educators who we have been honored to call friend. I’m so excited to hear that her passion for teaching will continue on with another generation of learners.
